Hey readers, Ethan here! I've so excited to be today's stop on the blog tour for Nazarea Andrews' The Scionless House. Guys you're gonna love this series. Today's post will feature my thoughts on the novel as well as an awesome giveaway. Before we get to that, here's a bit the novel and our author:
Twelve Houses. Twelve vampire lines. We ruled from the shadows, and manipulated the world, and when humans came too close to destruction, we intervened. Every House has a Scion. A fragile, easily broken human that stood shoulder to shoulder with the house Princes and Princesses.
Except for ours. The Ravens, House Cantelie.
We've been without a Scion for almost fifteen years.
But that will change...and her life will be mine to protect.
Nazarea Andrews (N to almost everyone) is an avid reader and tends to write the stories she wants to read. Which means she writes everything from zombies and dystopia to contemporary love stories. When not writing, she can most often be found driving her kids to practice and burning dinner while she reads, or binging watching TV shows on Netflix. N loves chocolate, wine, and coffee almost as much as she loves books, but not quite as much as she loves her kids. She lives in south Georgia with her husband, daughters, spoiled cat and overgrown dog. She is the author of World Without End series, Neverland Found, Edge of the Falls, and The University of Branton Series. Stop by her twitter (@NazareaAndrews) and tell her what fantastic book she should read next.

My Thoughts:
Nearly two years and about two dozen posts later, you guys all know by now that I love me some Nazarea Andrews. Everything this woman writes is golden. Having just finished one of my favorite series earlier this year, I really didn't know what to expect from Andrews. Little did I know she'd be tackling my favorite paranormal trope ever: vampires.
Oh hell yes.
I love novellas. I know some people don't and that's okay, but novellas, particularly prequel novellas, are awesome in the sense that they give readers an insight to the writing style and the plot of a series without devoting themselves to an entire novel. That being said, I don't think a novella has ever left me chomping at the bit for more like The Scionless House did. It was a super quick read, clocking in around 30 pages, but man Andrews packed a punch.
For far too long the literary world has been plagued with sparkly vampires who are more full of feels than bloodlust and power. Those vamps aren't for me. I need the dark, violent, bloodthirsty vampires that made me fall in love with them so long ago. Vampires that the likes of Anne Rice and Charlaine Harris would be proud to be associated with.
This short novella was everything I could have hoped for, and more. Plus, have you seen that cover? Woah! I couldn't be any more excited for the first full length novel if I tried. I can already tell this is going to be the Nazarea Andrews series that is NOT to be missed.
It's time for the days of the current 'greats' to come to a close, a new vampire author queen has emerged and she's sitting atop her thrown ready to impress! Fans of any vampire series are not going to want to miss this one.
I've had to avoid any plot info since this one is so short and I don't want to spoil anything, but do you and your TBR a huge favor and pick this one up today. It's FREE!
All of this being said, it should come as absolutely no surprise that I am granting The Scionless House by Nazarea Andrews a near-perfect 5-star review. Don't miss this read!
