Why am I waiting?

Some of you may remember last summer when I was introduced to a new author with a big story to tell. After downloading Wind Warrior, I was hooked. I devoured the first three novels in the series in no time and I've been patiently waiting for this final installment every since. Jon Messenger very quickly became one of my new favorite authors. As any of you who read my blog regularly know, as a male reader, I like seeking out male authors. I haven't found many that have written book I've cared for, but Messenger is near the top of my list. His character development is amazing, his action is spot on, and the feels? Oh yeah. He can bring those too. Any fans of paranormal, elemental, or coming of age stories will absolutely love this series. It's an extremely bittersweet feeling to see this series come to a close! It's been a wild wide and I cannot wait to see how Messenger wraps this one up! What are you waiting for people? Add this one to your TBR ASAP! I'll be reviewing this one in the coming weeks so be on the lookout!

Why am I waiting?

Some of you may remember last summer when I was introduced to a debut author with a big story to tell. I took the plunge into the unknown and fell in love with Descent, making it my favorite debut novel of 2014. Kallie Ross' incredible talent, perfect infused with a story full of fantasy and suspense was more than enough to make me one of her biggest fans and supporters! We need more authors like Kallie Ross on the market, folks! To say that I'm pumped for this one would be an understatement! Defend is going to pick up right after the big reveal in the finale of Descent and will find our heroes, once again, on a journey beneath the Earth's surface. This time there's so much more at stake than their own futures! Ross announced that Defend will be the conclusion to this exciting duology, leaving me both sad and excited for what she could possibly have up her sleeve next! Do yourself a favor and add this series to your TBR, you won't be disappointed!

Why am I waiting?

Wow guys. Just wow. Last summer, I came across Carnival, book one in this series, after a friend reviewed and loved it. I'm usually not one for the romance, but I have an unhealthy attraction to anything that has to do with circuses or carnivals. As soon as I read the blurb, I was hooked. I read Carnival in one sitting, then became one of this series' biggest fans. I won't lie to you, this series isn't for everyone. Anyone who has read from KB Nelson can tell you that her works aren't your average romance story. They're raw, gritty, full of emotion. The situations are more intense than you've ever read. It's like taking any other NA romance read you've ever read and upping the ante by ten percent. Seriously. By the time you finish book one your heart will be racing and you really will feel like you just got off a roller coaster! Nelson kept that same energy going with Carnival Nights, the 'second' novel in this series which serves as the novella, bridging the gaps between books one and two. As a member of Nelson's street team, I was lucky enough to grab an ARC of Amusement this past weekend and ended up also devouring it in one sitting as well. I won't spoil anything for you, but I promise, if you enjoyed Carnival, you will be more than pleased with this 'final' chapter in the duology! I'm saving my 5-star review for release day tomorrow, but do yourself a favor and go ahead and add this one to your TBR in the mean time! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Why am I waiting?

This is another one of this 'I'm not really waiting, I just CANNOT wait for everyone else to get their hands on this kind of situations! I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of this and actually just finished about an hour ago. Holy smokes people. Such an incredible read. If you love YA but are looking for something a bit different, I highly recommend that you check out this series. NW Harris has an incredible knack for writing this kind of novel. It's terrifying, it's thrilling, it's emotional. It's AMAZING! Seriously! If you pick up this series, you will not be disappointed! I'm saving my 5-start review for release day, but I can promise you all that you won't want to miss it!

Well, I am running late to the party. Very late. I was just recently introduced to the incredible Amy Bartol and boy was I missing out. Right now I'm working my way through Amy's Premonition series and am loving every second. My best friend is a huge Amy Bartol fan and convinced me to jump on the bandwagon. I am so glad I did! I've heard absolutely incredible things about this Kricket series so I can't wait to start. Also great news, I don't have to wait long for it, because I was lucky enough to get myself a copy this weekend at ABF where I also got to meet Amy! Lucky me, right?! Anyway, this serious looks incredible and I cannot wait to get it started! What do you guys think, any Amy Bartol fans out there?

Why am I waiting?

I have a confession to make... I'm a male. I hate romance reads (generally), but I love CoHo. Seriously. I've read a handful of Colleen's books, and every one has been better than the last. On top of being an incredible, trailblazing author, she is one of the most humble and inspiring ladies I have ever met. Her stories, both in real life and on the pages, have touched me in such a way that she will always remain a special lady in my eyes. I'm hearing absolutely incredible things about Confess from bloggers who got their hands of ARCs, and I'm in need of a good NA read this month! Lucky for me, I don't have to wait too long! I'll be picking up a copy (and several for friends) this weekend when I see Mrs. Colleen at the Austin Book Bash on Saturday! That's right readers, I'm traveling 10 hours to spend the weekend with these incredible authors! Lucky me, right?

You guys may remember that I got the amazing opportunity to meet Colleen last summer in Nashville and she blew me away. Seriously, I don't have enough nice things to say about this lady. I'm anxiously awaiting this read, and from what I hear, so is 9/10ths of the literary community! Three cheers for CoHo!

Why am I waiting?

As many of you may know, I am a tad bit obsessed with Mrs. Nazarea Andrews. I have been closely following her career for about a year now and am slowly making my way through her entire omnibus. From romance to zombies and now sci-fi, Nazarea Andrews is a name you guys are going to want to add to memory! She's written more incredible novels in just a few years than most authors can write in a lifetime. If you aren't a Nazarea fan, what are you waiting for? Get to reading people! I have been BEGGING the book world for something new in the New Adult genre. I'm so tired of romance after romance and getting NOTHING new. A handful of authors are breaking the mold and I am so thankful for it. Nazarea is a trailblazer and always trying to put something new out into the book world. After reading a few of her novels, I am sure most all would agree! Why would I NOT be excited about this read? Be sure to add this on to your TBR!
