Why am I waiting?

This is another one of this 'I'm not really waiting, I just CANNOT wait for everyone else to get their hands on this kind of situations! I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of this and actually just finished about an hour ago. Holy smokes people. Such an incredible read. If you love YA but are looking for something a bit different, I highly recommend that you check out this series. NW Harris has an incredible knack for writing this kind of novel. It's terrifying, it's thrilling, it's emotional. It's AMAZING! Seriously! If you pick up this series, you will not be disappointed! I'm saving my 5-start review for release day, but I can promise you all that you won't want to miss it!

Why am I waiting?

As many of you may know, I am a tad bit obsessed with Mrs. Nazarea Andrews. I have been closely following her career for about a year now and am slowly making my way through her entire omnibus. From romance to zombies and now sci-fi, Nazarea Andrews is a name you guys are going to want to add to memory! She's written more incredible novels in just a few years than most authors can write in a lifetime. If you aren't a Nazarea fan, what are you waiting for? Get to reading people! I have been BEGGING the book world for something new in the New Adult genre. I'm so tired of romance after romance and getting NOTHING new. A handful of authors are breaking the mold and I am so thankful for it. Nazarea is a trailblazer and always trying to put something new out into the book world. After reading a few of her novels, I am sure most all would agree! Why would I NOT be excited about this read? Be sure to add this on to your TBR!

Why am I waiting?

I'll be completely honest and say that I know absolutely nothing about this read. So why am I excited? Well. This is a fantastic question. I don't have much in terms of an answer. I am desperately seeking something... new. Something that isn't so... blah. It seems like every time I get excited about a read these days, I pick it up and am ultimately disappointed by it in some manner. Something about this novel is speaking to me. I don't know if it's the cover, or just the fact that I am obsessed with steampunk, but I have a good feeling about this one folks. Plus, I have YET to hear a negative thing about Heather Dixon. So why not be excited about it? I can promise you guys that this one will be read ASAP!

Why am I waiting?

Do you even have to ask?

Any of you who follow this blog regularly are well aware of the writings of Liz Long. I have a slight obsession. I met Liz last year at UtopYA, by chance, and immediately fell in love with her Donovan Circus series. I am OBSESSED with all things Circus. I have such an unnatural pull to this kind of thing that I couldn't resist. I am so glad I took the plunge, because this series quickly became one of my all time favorites. A group of adults living in a modern-day circus where the 'freaks' are really just gifted individuals? Talk about unique! Seriously, this entire series is unlike any I have ever read. I cannot speak highly enough about it. I flew through the first two novels and have been begging Liz for book three for months now. I finally got a glimpse of it a few weeks back and it was amazing. I cannot wait to see the finished version! This novel is extremely special to me and will forever remain close to my heart for a number of reasons, but I absolutely cannot wait for everyone to get their hands on this one! I've been waiting FOREVER to make it my WoW, but the cover was just released yesterday! What do you guys think of it?

I'd also like to add that Liz is one of the greatest authors I have had the incredible pleasure of working with. In addition to being one of my favorite authors, she's become a great friend of mine. She's great to her fans and never misses an opportunity to chat about the book world! You are not going to want to miss this one, add it straight to your TBRs!

Why am I waiting?

Becca Vincenza may not be a familiar author to some of you, so allow me to make introductions. Becca, meet world. World, meet Becca Vincenza: the biggest up-and-coming name in New Adult Paranormal. Trust me people, if you aren't a fan of this incredible lady, you're about to become one. I came across Becca and her works several months ago at the recommendation of another author. At the time I was looking for someone to show me that NA could be more than cheesy romance. I wanted someone to prove to me that NA had a future outside of romance. And then I met Becca. Good Lord. Becca's Rebirth series has quickly become not only one of my favorite NA reads, but one of my favorite paranormal series to date! It's unique, it's full of more awesome than I could ever possible name, and above all: chock full of paranormal. So. Much. Paranormal. In fact, there is so much, Becca has to include a glossary at the end of her novels. Seriously. You love paranormal? You haven't seen anything yet! Also, did you guys read that synopsis? I don't know about you guys, but I can already tell this one may be Becca's best work yet! AND DID YOU SEE THAT COVER?! Yes. So. Much. Yes.

I'd also like to add that Becca is one of the nicest authors I have had the incredible pleasure of working with. She's great to her fans and never misses an opportunity to chat about the book world!

Why am I waiting?

Do I even have to answer this question anymore? Out of 21 Waiting on Wednesday posts I have done, 4 of them have been for Danielle Paige. Seriously people. Are you seeing a trend? If it says 'Danielle Paige', it's an immediate 'add to TBR' for me. Not only that but... IT'S MORE OZ! Have you guys heard how much I love Oz? Let me tell you again... AHH!! Haha. Everyone has their favorite literary world: Neverland, Wonderland, Narnia, Middle Earth, Harry Potter, etc. Mine has always, and will forever be Oz. I can, and have, written entire posts about my love of all things Oz, but I won't go into that here. Just trust me, I'm an Oz-freak. Also, to add to my flails, this one is all about one of my absolute favorite characters from Oz, The Wizard! The Great and Powerful WoO! Oscar Zoroaster Phadrig Isaac Norman Henkle Emmannuel Ambroise Diggs and I go way back. Yeah, I used his full name! Haha. Seriously folks. If you are an Oz fan in ANY capacity, you are definitely not going to want to miss this third installment in the Dorothy Must Die prequel arc!

Why am I waiting?

So you guys may not know this about me, but I have a deep passion for Russian history and culture. When I first found out that Sherry Ficklin was writing this series, I was over the moon. I will admit that due to a crazy bookish schedule, I haven't quite finished Queen of Someday, but I am currently working on the audiobook! I really love what I am hearing so far and I know I will love this sequel as well. Seriously people, Sherry has a beautiful writing voice. I wish I could devote an entire week to just reading all of her works, because the few I have read have been great! The detail she has put into this series, along with the obvious research, really make this a special read for me. Any author who takes the time and attention to detail to make a historical novel accurate will always be a class act in my book. Also Sophie is pretty freaking awesome!

Why am I waiting?

Anyone who hasn't been living under a rock knows that I am absolutely obsessed with Oz. All things Oz. Also, I'll let you in on a little secret... I'm Danielle Paige's biggest fan. Seriously. Go search my blog archive. I've got so many posts dedicated the DP and Dorothy Must Die, that I have lost track entirely. Seriously you guys, it's one of my all time favorite reads. If you guys had a chance to check out my Top 14 Most Anticipated Reads of 2015 post last week, you would have already seen my raving about this novel. I seriously cannot say enough about how excited I am. Its' predecessor, Dorothy Must Die was named my Top YA Read of 2014. That was a huge category for me and DMD won it hands down. How could I not be excited about this read? I honestly don't know what I am expecting from the sequel, except that DP left us hanging big time in book one. That cliffhanger ending sets us up for an incredible continuation of the story. Also, I am dying to know if any Wicked Witched rise from the dead. I'm pretty sure I would die from happiness if Amy and the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked were able to resurrect either the Wicked Witch of the East or West. That'd put Dorothy in her place. Just saying. Except I'd want the squat, three pigtailed, one-eyed version that Baum created and not the green-skinned beauty that the world has come to love. Guy's gotta dream, right? We shall see. Regardless of what tricked Danielle Paige has up her sleeve, I know I will fall just as hard for The Wicked Will Rise as I have for everything else she has written. Are you guys pumped?! March 31st can't get here fast enough!
