Waiting on Wednesday {9}

Hey everyone and welcome to my weekly Waiting on Wednesday meme post! This is just a once a week deal where each Wednesday I post about one book I am looking forward to reading and then link it up to the host blog,
Breaking the Spine, where I can be connected to over 200 other readers and bloggers who are looking for a new read! My friend Kim from kimberlyfayereads participates in this meme each week and it has always looked like a great time. Below you will find the book cover, synopsis, Goodreads link and my reasons for waiting on this read! Enjoy!

This week's WOW is... The Collectors' Society by Heather Lyons

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22735431-the-collectors-society

From the author of the Fate series and The Deep End of the Sea comes a fantastical romantic adventure that has Alice tumbling down the strangest rabbit hole yet.

After years in Wonderland, Alice has returned to England as an adult, desperate to reclaim sanity and control over her life. An enigmatic gentleman with an intriguing job offer too tempting to resist changes her plans for a calm existence, though. Soon, she’s whisked to New York and initiated into the Collectors’ Society, a secret organization whose members confirm that famous stories are anything but straightforward and that what she knows about the world is only a fraction of the truth.

It’s there she discovers villains are afoot—ones who want to shelve the lives of countless beings. Assigned to work with the mysterious and alluring Finn, Alice and the rest of the Collectors’ Society race against a doomsday clock in order to prevent further destruction . . . but will they make it before all their endings are erased?

Why am I waiting?
This is probably the easiest question I will be asked all day long. I am a HUGE fan of retellings. I am a huge fan of all things Wonderland. Win win? I think yes. I may be mildly cheating with this WOW, because I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this amazing novel and am in the process of devouring it now, so... this is more of a Waiting to get my hands on a physical copy Wednesday". I'm only about half way through this novel, but I am telling you it has already earned a place on my top reads of 2014 list, I cannot WAIT for the public to get their hands on this one. Also, have you guys seen this cover? Arguably my favorite one of 2014. Seriously some amazing cover art. If you're a fan of Alice and want to know about her life post-Wonderland, you are NOT going to want to miss this read! I'll be reviewing it here in a few weeks for the blog tour and you guys will have to be sure to stop by for that! This is my first adventure into the works of Mrs. Heather Lyons, but I have been blown away! You guys, CHECK IT OUT!

  5. I love retellings, too, and The Collector's Society sounds absolutely amazing! I haven't come across it before, and it's definitely going on my TBR list. I read Splintered not too long ago, and ever since I've been on a bit of an Alice in Wonderland obsession phase :D Thanks for sharing it, and hope you love the rest of the ARC!
